Introduction

Welcome to this edition of The Wire, which has been produced especially for members based in Argentina and Uruguay. This edition includes an introduction to your account executive, Chloe Townley, a selection of ship agency claims which ITIC has paid out and rendered assistance with and some guidance outlining why terms and conditions are so important.

On Wednesday 15^th November 2024 Chloe Townley, Senior Account Executive, and Alistair Mactavish, Chief Underwriting Officer and Chief Operating Officer, hosted a presentation at Centro de Navegación alongside Pandi Liquidadores and Centro de Navegación. ITIC’s presentation included an explanation of ITIC’s cover for ships agents, some guidance on agency agreements and standard terms and conditions as well as extra benefits of ITIC’s cover such as invoice fraud cover and debt collection cover.
