Introduction

Welcome to this special edition of ITIC’s The Wire produced exclusively for ITIC’s aviation members. ITIC insures over 280 professionals and companies internationally who work in the aviation sector, including: air charter brokers, designers, CAMOS, surveyors, registries and aircraft managers.

ITIC recently exhibited at the Air Charter Association’s Air Charter Expo (ACE) 2024, in Biggin Hill near London. It was great to see so many of you at that event.

This edition of The Wire includes an article, written by ITIC’s senior aviation underwriter Melanie Daglish, on the pertinent topic of staff recruitment and retention in the business aviation industry. Some of the challenges surrounding recruitment were highlighted during one of the panel debates at ACE and Melanie discusses her thoughts, alongside four top tips, in the article.
