Introduction

Welcome to the latest edition of The Wire focusing on ITIC Europe – ITIC’s new subsidiary based in Limassol, Cyprus. In September 2023, ITIC Europe was launched to extend ITIC's services to European members affected by Brexit. ITIC Europe began underwriting on Valentine’s Day in February 2024, and as of December 2024, all European members have successfully transitioned to this new entity.

Throughout its first year, ITIC Europe has been active in the maritime sector, participating in events, conferences, and seminars across Cyprus and Europe. The team, led by CEO Charlotte Kirk, includes Marios Papadakis, Chief Financial Officer, Mikaela Koni, Senior Claims Executive, Elena Evriviadou, EU Underwriter and Stavroula Demetriou, Accountant.

In September 2024, ITIC Europe celebrated its launch with a party at the Amathus Beach Hotel in Limassol, featuring unique Cypriot coffee mugs as mementos. The team now manages nearly 1200 policies and looks forward to continuing their growth and service excellence in 2025.
