Career Summary

Mikaela joined ITIC as a legal advisor and senior claims executive in October 2023. She qualified as an advocate and became a Member of the Cyprus Bar Association in 2019 and after starting her career as an associate in private practice for 3 years, she continued as an internal legal advisor for FD&D matters in a shipping firm.

Background

• Handled a wide range of commercial, corporate and competition law matters and disputes in private practice, specialising in contracts and large international commercial transactions.
• Specialised in drafting of Charter parties and handling FD&D matters that arose in the shipping firm, specifically, underperformance disputes, charter party disputes and negotiations and bunker disputes.
• Admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 2019.
• Has a degree in Law from the University of Reading, a Master’s degree in Commercial Law with Competition Law and Regulation and a Master’s degree in Business Administration.

• Qualified Mediator and a Member of the Cyprus Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution.
