ITIC circular: Aviation Rule Book

ITIC is pleased to announce the release of specific policy wording for the aviation sector, the ITIC Aviation Rules 2024. This is a significant milestone in the development of ITIC’s cover for aviation and aerospace professionals. It has been introduced to meet the needs of ITIC’s growing aviation book.

Whilst the new policy wording does not materially change the scope of cover provided, it removes a number of provisions that were of no relevance to the aviation or aerospace sectors. It provides the aviation assureds with a policy wording which is more relevant, more succinct and, most importantly, still able to respond to the demands of this unique sector.

ITIC’s underwriting appetite for aviation professionals includes aircraft managers, brokers and surveyors, aircraft training organisations and aerospace designers, CAMOs, and technical consultants to the leasing industry. Cover is also offered to organisations who perform statutory duties, such as civil aviation authorities and aircraft registries.

These Aviation Rules will apply to any policy of insurance which commences, or renews, on or after 1st October 2024.
